It´s Official! Dirty Spokes Productions,LLC has signed on with XTERRA again for next year! We had a great time bringing the events to you this past year and cannot wait until next year! We will be hosting trail races in Alabama starting in September 2016!
Just what you trail enthusiasts have been waiting for! Dirty Spokes Productions,LLC is proud to present the XTERRA Alabama Trail Run Series! Each race has something different to offer and as a matter of fact, you will come to know why we follow the creed ‘Ditch the City’. Register for as many races as you would like! We have some great courses ⁄ trail races put together for you all! The feedback we have received about the courses ⁄ venues ⁄ races has been outstanding! We are thrilled you are enjoying the trail races as much as we are enjoying putting them on for you! Any race that has multiple distances (Example: 6.2 Mile or 13.1 Mile) you must race the longer of the two distances to earn series points.

You can point qualify for the XTERRA Trail Run National Championship (2017 Location: Ogden, Utah). XTERRA will be keeping track of the top finishers in each race event and awarding a Alabama overall top male and female athlete in each age group (XTERRA will provide a Certificate and Free Entry to the National Championship for the top finisher in each age group ⁄ category at the end of the series). Participant t-shirts will be provided at pre-race registration (different t-shirt for each race). XTERRA Racing Age - is age on December 31, 2017. A competitor´s age on this day is the age they will race all year long. XTERRA Trail Run Series age groups are: 14&U, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 & over. For Example: If you are 29 years old, but turn 30 on December 20th, you will be racing in the 30-39 age group. Enter as many XTERRA Trail Runs as you can (3 here in Alabama).
Accumulate Points - points are awarded to the top fifteen finishers in each age group at each race. All points will be totaled after the finish of the last trail run in your series. Current standings will be posted to XTERRAPlanet.com after each event. Count’em up! – Different than cross country – the most points wins! The athlete with the most points – by gender and by age group – earns the title of XTERRA Regional Trail Run Series Champion and receives free entry into the XTERRA National Trail Run Championship. Tie Breakers – ties in points standings will be settled by: 1) head to head competition (if only raced against each other once), 2) the winner of the most recent race.ainst each other once), 2) the winner of the most recent race.
Dirty Spokes will be handing out medals and prizes to our overall top 3 male and female finishers for each race. We will also be handing out medals to our top 3 male and female finishers in each age group (14&U, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70&U) – you must be present to receive your medal we will not mail them to you.
