Runners registration for the 2020 Fleet Feet Monte Sano State Park 15K/4Mile Trail Running Race is OPEN! We will be doing a wave start for this years race! 15K Runners 8:00 a.m. SHARP and 4 Mile Runners 8:15 a.m. SHARP! We have a participant cap of 425 for this race (with the modification of the start of the race again this year it will accomodate more runners and allow for a smoother transition into the woods)! Thanks to Fleet Feet Huntsville for jumping on board and supporting the Monte Sano State Park 15K/4Mile Trail Running Race (they are providing post race recovery drinks as well as on-course aid stations)! We will be doing early packet pick up at Fleet Feet Huntsville on January 10th, 2020!

4 Mile Course
1. Run north for 300' and turn right on Nolen Ave (paved road) 2. Run 0.35 miles on paved road until right turn into Hikers Parking lot 3. Run 0.04 miles across Hikers Parking lot onto South Plateau (White) Trail 4. Stay right on South Plateau (White) Trail for 0.14 miles until left turn on Fire Tower (Red) Trail 5. Stay on Fire Tower (Red) Trail for 0.69 miles through intersection with South Plateau (White) Trail 6. Stay on Fire Tower (Red) Trail for 0.13 miles until right turn onto Family Bike Trail 7. Stay on Family Bike Trail for 0.47 miles toward O'Shaughnessy Pt then turn left, immediate right to stay on Family Bike 8. Stay on Family Bike Trail for 0.03 miles until right turn onto South Plateau (White) Trail through aid station 9. Stay on South Plateau (White) Trail for 0.62 miles through the intersection with Fire Tower (Red) Trail 10. Stay on South Plateau (White) Trail for 0.94 miles until left turn onto connector trail to Fire Tower (Red) Trail 11. Stay on Fire Tower Connector Trail for 0.07 miles until left turn on Fire Tower (Red) Trail 12. Stay on Fire Tower (Red) Trail for 0.02 miles until left turn onto North Plateau (Blue) Trail 13. Stay on North Plateau (Blue) Trail for 0.34 miles until right turn at McKay Hollow Overlook 14. Straight on Gravel road for 0.08 miles to the finish at the Pavilion

1. Run north for 300' and turn right on Nolen Ave (paved road) 2. Run on paved road for 0.50 mi until left turn into Bikers Parking lot 3. After turn toward Bikers Parking lot, run 0.02 mi then immediately turn right onto new entrance to Sinks Trail 4. Stay on Sinks Trail for 0.37 mi through the intersection with Mountain Mist Trail 5. Stay on Sinks Trail for 0.21 mi until veering left at 3 Benches, remaining on Sinks Trail 6. Stay left on Sinks Trail for 0.03 mi to the start of Stone Cuts Trail 7. Stay on Stone Cuts Trail for 0.20 mi until a right turn, remaining on Stone Cuts Trail 8. Stay on Stone Cuts Trail for 0.24 mi through the cave until a right turn, remaining on Stone Cuts Trail 9. Stay on Stone Cuts trail for 0.03 mi until a right turn onto Logan Point Trail 10. Stay on Logan Point Trail for 0.12 mi until a right turn onto Keith Trail 11. Stay on Keith Trail for 1.04 mi until a left turn onto Chestnut Trail 12. Stay on Chestnut Trail for 0.15 mi until a left turn onto Goat Trail 13. Stay on Goat Trail for 1.86 mi until a left turn onto the Warpath Trail connector 14. Stay on War Path Ridge Trail for 0.28 mi until a right turn onto South Plateau (white) trail at aid station 15. Stay on South Plateau (White Trail) briefly before a right turn onto Mountain Mist Trail 16. Stay on Mountain Mist Trail for 1.55 mi through the intersection with the Sinks Trail 17. Stay on Mountain Mist Trail for 0.53 mi through the intersection with the Sinks Trail 18. Stay on Mountain Mist Trail for 0.80 mi until crossing closed Banked (paved) road and turn left onto Cold Springs Trail 19. Stay on Cold Springs Trail for 0.37 mi until a right turn onto the North Plateau (blue) Trail 20. Stay on North Plateau (blue) Trail for 0.26 mi through the road crossing of Nolen Ave at the park entrance 21. Stay on North Plateau (blue) Trail for 0.21 mi until a left turn onto the gravel road toward the finish 22. Stay on gravel road for 0.06 mi to the finish at the Pavilion
PACKET PICKUP
Packet pickup will be the morning of the race starting at 6:30 a.m. to 7:45 a.m.
15K Race starts at 8:00 a.m. SHARP and the 4 Mile Race starts at 8:15 a.m. SHARP!
RACE CATEGORIES
Dirty Spokes will be handing out medals and prizes to our overall top 3 male and female finishers for each race. We will also be handing out medals to our top 3 male and female finishers in each age group (14&U, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75&U) – you must be present to receive your medal we will not mail them to you.
AWARDS
Awards will be given out when we have enough finishers in to fill the categories. Medals will be given out to the top three finishers in each category. Walkers are encouraged to participate; however, you should be able to complete the 4Mile ⁄ 15K at a 16 minute mile pace or under to receive an official time.
